The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as required. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when required.

3. Dreame X40 Ultra

Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new flagship model of robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-off maintenance making it a top contender for our top mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a longer side brush guarantee an efficient, customized clean.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, picking up large and small particles from both hard floors and carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest areas of our tests well, avoiding pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping capability of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that moves out to get into areas that are difficult to reach and mop pads that run along baseboards.

Its navigation is intelligent that can navigate narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without stepping back. It can go from one room to another without having to change direction. This is useful for large homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is not as advanced than that of some competitors and leaves a wide margin between obstacles. This can result in missed spots.
